Despite a lack of postings, dear reader, we have in fact been diligently working on the dining room ceiling. It's tough to convey drywall progress in pictures, because coat three of joint compound doesn't look a whole heck of a lot different than coat one. I finished painting this morning (*pats self on back*), but it's going to take a lot of scrubbing before I can show you the final results. In the meantime, it's time for one of my favorite series of posts. Yes, that's right: it's time for another installment of Things We Found In the Ceiling: Dining Room Edition!
A Things We Found In the Ceiling post wouldn't be complete without some baby pictures. Looks like the family has expanded since we took down the entryway ceiling.

And in the department of Those Were The Good Old Days, here's a receipt for 110 gallons of range oil. Total bill: $9.90. Date: Dec. 23, 1931.
We even found another Valentine! There's been love in every room so far.

A paper doll. With a bowl of hearts. Delicious.
Fake pearls, a keyhole plate, and a small buckle.
Wrigley's: the perfect gum.
I'm surprised it doesn't also cure cancer.
Magnolia face powder. Tres elegant.
Top of large container of baking soda (about 12"x12" IRL). The crazy part about this: we had one of these hanging in the kitchen of the house I grew up in.
Several pages from a children's book. Here are two of my favorites. Here's Jacko....
and....HAHAHAHA. Why is the *ahem* cat wearing a dunce cap?

That's all for this installment of Things We Found In the Ceiling. Tune in next time for TWFITC: Kitchen!

This one had me laughing out loud, breaking the pumped-in white noise of my cube farm.
